14. And don't forget Governor Doyle.
All they've got is Pawlenty.

My daughter and son in law live in Mpls and are perplexed. Nobody they know voted Repub, and they were in a bar with the rest of them on election night screaming and jumping up and down. They blamed it on the rural vote--but we've got our rurals here, too. Maybe ours are more libertarian or something. Remember Obey's district is in Central Wisconsin.

3. Holeeeeee shit--Sawyer Co. went Blue!
That's where I grew up. None of us had even seen a Democrat until we went away to college. We thought they had horns.

5. We were talking about that last night
A group of us in Superior have a little party every four years and Sawyer was red for a long time but one guy there said it would flip. I figured it wouldn't given the demographic and he was right.

11. Puffy Jim?
Great name for the old windbag.

I tried to get rid of him, but no dice. He won by a landside again--even more than last time! :(

But that surely is a purty map we got here, eh?

6. I took the Obama staff
and some volunteers curling yesterday and they were lamenting the fact that Taylor county was red by only 28 votes. They really didn't like that red blob in the middle of the state. They did a great job and turned Marathon and Lincoln counties blue!

9. We made some progress in Dodge
Gore got 38% and Kerry got 39%
but thanks to the hard work of the Obama Staff we got 45% for Obama county wide PLUS we got 60% in Beaver dam.
So kotex jim might have a lock on Washington county, but we will turn Dodge blue within 10 years.
