So...conventioneers...wanna get together?

Whitacre D_WI and I will be up there without a lot of room to spare on either end of the convention, but we still wanna meet whoever's going to be there. We should be arriving sometime before the 5 p.m. start on Friday, and cutting out right when it's over on Saturday.

But, in between then -- thoughts?

must likely by four ... But I will most likely have a meeting to get to.

We are also going to have to bug out by about noon on Saturday.

Having said that Friday night or Saturday morning would work for us.

3. I too have to take off on Saturday early.

I have a wrestling show to run. Actually I am broke as all hell and I'm not sure how I am going to go to the Convention unless I pull a deal with the chair. As a Delegate I really hoped I could go but my financial situation has been really tough.

We'll see. I hope to go and to meet some of you there!

I know some of us were planning on attending at least a couple of hospitalities (free food at Feingold, for instance, and I probably need to make an appearance at the Bryan Kennedy one, if there is one). Maybe later in the evening might work (unless anyone wants to crash hospitalities as a group).

But my experience says that if you're looking for food, you don't want to wait too long. Most of the "hospitality" is gone within an hour of the close of business at the convention.

I suggest a meeting in the bar at 10pm. It gives everyone a chance to make the rounds and we can cap off the night with some face-to-face DUing.

I looked at the Raddison site, and couldn't figure out whether there is a stand-alone bar, or just the sports bar and grill.

Anyone know, or will the sports bar suffice?

I know some of you already know each other, but i have never meet a fellow DUer in person. Any Ideas?

But perhaps name tags with our DU names will help the more inconspicuous find each other.

I also have a couple of DU bumper stickers. I could bring one to hold up like they do in the airport.

I imagine we could just look for you -- two DUers in T-shirts shouldn't be hard to spot. (And if the two happen to not be you, well, they're probably others looking for the group.)

We went to the convention last year when it was here in Brew Town, but getting to Appleton this year just isn't going to be feasible for many reasons. Well, I'll be with y'all in spirit. So drink a few spirits for me.
