A LOT of vote splitting between Liberals and NDPs happened in ridings that clearly led to Cons riding up on top. Harper does indeed have a lot to thank Layton for. He helped destroy the opposition. Not saying the Liberals themselves aren't to blame either. Harper should be thanking Iggy too for being such a shitty leader.
