It's Zed, not Zee. Zed!
Ah, the Canadian identity. Was there ever a nation more obsessed with their identity than us?

So here are my questions. What does it mean to be Canadian? What things are quintessentially Canadian?

2. Du Zee or Du Zed, Duz does it better....
...that was a radio jingle I used to hear growing up in Canada back in the 1940's and 50's. That was a long time ago for me, eh.

3. Then don't leave out Bed, Ded, Ted, Ged, etc...
Why grant so special a distinction to only one letter?

11. Wow I never made that association to other letters. My mind
is boggled but I have an answer, Zed is special therefore the distinction. And it's special because we say so. Got that. You wanna fight? Just remember the War of 1812!!!!!!

4. Farely Mowat says that itmeans being able to
make love in a canoe.

Or check out Fire and Ice by Douglas Adams of Environics. I highly recommend this book to those who have always defined a Canadian as someone who is not an American.

He basically says that based on our social values Canadian society is very different than that found in the Excited States.

Take the survey here: <http://fireandice.environics.net/surveys/fireandice/main/fireandice.asp?surveyID=1>

6. I've read the book
I think that it's great. I hadn't taken the quiz though. I came out typically Canadian. (Idealism & Autonomy)

7. Poor reprehensor.
He's been here in the states with me for just over 4 years, and has fit in quite nicely.

But every once in awhile, I have to giggle, because he'll forget, and either slip in a "zed" somewhere while speaking (and people look at him funny), or he'll order a rye and Coke at a bar.

People down here don't know what rye is. You have to ask them for whiskey, or they think you've grown 2 heads.

9. No
We respect their desire to have it pronounced ZeeZee Top. We don't like it but we'll do it :P .

10. The rest of the English speaking world laughs at you
We all say Zed. We just snicker quietly when you say Zee. BTW my friend in high school drove a Zed 28 not a Zee 28.
