7. ugh ugh
Many people who are perfect examples of ignorant conservatives. I was in the bar for the hockey game the other day. During the anthem (Game was in Montreal) they started it in French some jackass says "WHy the fuck they singing it in french for?" Then the camera panned to Paul Martin and he says "I'd shoot that fucker in the heart right now."

This guy's probably never even read a newspaper let alone met a French person...where does this stupidity come from?

8. Guess You Are
Lucky that you are not closer to the dinos down in Red Deer.
On second thought you may be discovering a new source of dinos.

And I would think that most real conservatives would take offense of being included with reform etc.
If you think about it is an oxymoron.
Conserve our environment, country etc... Ask Dr. Suzuki.
Anyway. Have a good weekend.

15. In BC it's always fashionable to trash whoever's in power.
They did it with Ujjal, with Clark, and everyone else before them.

I love BC, but we're quite a whining lot from where I sit.

22. Yeah, those God damn left lane hogs
The QEW brings out the worst in drivers. To go at a decent pace, you have to pass on the right-hand side, which endangers everyone.

23. yes!
I drove the QEW once, several years ago, from Toronto going to Welland and back. And that's what just dumbfounded me -- what's with these people in the left lane doing 100?? Why just on the QEW; don't they drive anywhere else?

Regional driving habits are entertaining. I'm from London, but I left at 16 and didn't start driving until I was in my 30s. Going to London to visit, I noticed the same thing: those people will not get out of the left lane, on multi-lane city roads. (Whaddayasay, Interrobang?)

My mum said that it was because nobody would let you into the left lane when you needed to change lanes in order to make a turn. This theory was somewhat borne out by the guy who pulled out of a driveway on Oxford East one morning, out in the country pretty much, when I was the only other vehicle in sight, and moved directly into the left lane where I was and parked himself in front of me at a nice slow pace. I moved into the right lane and proceeded. After a few blocks, he pulled alongside me at a traffic light, and I couldn't resist. I rolled down the window and asked what the hell was wrong with him, cutting me off like that and driving at that speed in the left lane. He was turning left up ahead (about 2 miles from where he'd entered the road), he informed me, as if I were an idiot.

My favourite traffic habit where I'm at is the complete disregard for no-parking and no-stopping during rush hour rules. Busy three-lane (one-way) city streets are reduced to one lane, if you're lucky, by people on both sides who are quite happy to block an entire lane of traffic while they wait for someone to exit a building for the lift home, or delivery vans whose business apparently can't wait. In my experience, Toronto enforces those rules viciously, and the roads are actually open to moving vehicles at rush hour.

On the 401 itself in the Toronto vicinity, my favourite pests are the middle-lane slow drivers. They particularly cause havoc with trucks, which may not pass them. I often imagine that they are on their way to, oh, Miami, or Edmonton, and that they will never have to change lanes once in the entire trip ... while the rest of the continent sits backed up behind them and dividing like the Red Sea around them ...

The American Ambassador. How can you not make him a swear word?

John

on edit: I know somebody put his name down already but I thought I would emphasise the fact.
