Anyone try to make homemade Pimms?
We left the UK in August, and now with the coldish weather and holidays coming on, I was thinking some Pimms would be nice (we like it in warmed apple or cranberry juice). I came across a recipe online, and was wondering if anyone has ever tried it:

2 parts gin.
2 parts red vermouth.
A little more than 1 part triple sec.
a dash of Angostura bitters.

Haven't seen Pimms anywhere in Houston :(

1. Excuse me but...
Pimms is a Tory Knobs drink.

This is supposed to be a left wing bulletin board.

Suggest you get yourself some brown or bitter ale (which can by taken warm by the way)

2. Well call me what you will....
but I fail to see what's so unprogressive about Pimm's O'Clock or pina colada's!

And as far as your suggestion goes, I have noticed that more CAMRA members are getting noisly anti-Labour thanks to the incessant rises in beer taxes.

4. Do you mean Tory Nobs?
Pouring Pimms on Tory Knobs would be a different (and perhaps more satisfying) mental picture altogether.

Would rather pour mulled wine, though ...

6. Found it!
Luckily, a local liquor store...err..off license...had it in stock. A bit expensive, but I bought it anyway. Thanks to all for the comments, except for the one that called me a Tory Knob :P
