We did everything we could, but we still lost because of some ignorant backwater bastards who wanted to elect a fellow alcoholic.

1. England voted for Thatcher three times, and for Blair.
We don't need to apologise to England.

2. Nothing to be sorry for. You guys did everything you could.
I just wish we were going to have a Kerry/Edwards option next year instead of a "Choice" between two right-wingers.

3. Scotland and northern Ireland might be worth including as well
Before i lived here, i used to call this whole island "england" as
well, but have since been much better informed. Britain, United
kingdom, roast-boef eaters, hooligans... inclusive... but england
is but a part of the UK, and you left other parts out.

People will forgive, on an individual basis. That is what i discover.

I recently enountered a nearby pub where the owner worships bush and
pat robertson. It was like talking to bush voters.... the partisan
divide exists as well on this side of the pond. Only the foolish
freedom fry folks are manipulated to hate all of a culture for some
election fraud.... most of the UK is much wiser... "thankfully".

6. Heavens, I don't think there's any danger of that.
The UK isn't exactly the most credit-worthy country on the world stage at the moment either.
