Swedish anti-war movement prepares for NATO protests 24-25 May
- No Swedish participation in NATO
- Sweden out of "Partnership for Peace"
- No Swedish military contributions internationally without a clear/legal mandate from the UN
- Protest against NATO and US strive for world domination

This sums up the agreed platform of the "Network for Global Peace and Democracy" who will be protesting at the NATO summit in the otherwise sleepy ski resort of Åre during 24-25 May.

Across Sweden peace organisations from a wide political spectrum are busy preparing for the informal NATO meeting where Ministers and senior decision-makers from NATO’s 46 member and partner countries will discuss Euro-Atlantic security issues.

The protests will start Monday in the city of Östersund and will travel to Åre for protests Tuesday.

Among the speakers:

- Member of European Parliament Eva-Britt Svensson (GUE/NGL)
- Church of Sweden representative Jörn Svensson
- Representatives from the Swedish Green Party and Left Party
- Representatives from Norwegian Anti-NATO movement etc.

Translation from the poster:

- No stealth entry into NATO
- No War Criminals in Åre
- Defend Human Rights
