Someone check my math...

http://media.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/politics/elections/2004/graphics/exitPolls.html

All US voters in 2004 election
46% Male
54% Female

47% Males voted Kerry v/s 52% Bush (5% difference)
54% Females Kerry v/s 45% Bush (9% diff.)

so out of every 1000 voters 460 were men and 540 were women
217 Men for Kerry 240 for Bush
293 Women for Kerry 244 for Bush

509 Kerry
483 Bush
(+/- 7 people)

It just dont add up....

12. b/s
I don't know any tg people (well, except 1 who's an idiot) who'd vote for that @$$hole.

TG people would like to have the right to be who they are. They know they won't get that under Bush.

2. Two problems
Just becasue 54% of all "US voters" are females. You don't know what percentage actually voted. Also, how do you know, right now, what percentages of each sex really voted for whom?

3. You are right -- something is REALLY weird with these numbers.
Edited on Wed Nov-03-04 07:53 AM by IdaBriggs
(The links is broken, by the way. Did you copy it?)

Bush Vote Kerry Vote
Male 460 239.2 52% 216.2 47%
Female 540 243 45% 291.6 54%
1000 482.2 507.8

URK. Copied from Excel, and can't figure out how to make it line up nicely. Let's try it this way:

460 Male
540 Female

Bush TOTAL = 482
239 Male
243 Female

Kerry TOTAL = 507
216 Male
291 Female

15. Welcome to DU DAR!
And the media already talked about that, saying many who supported Kerry actually voted Bush once in private. But the numbers SHOULD be sent to Kerry. They would be able to do something.

10. Where did the majority of women vote though?
If they voted in urban centers like NY and LA, they didn't do much to help changes in electoral votes.

But it's something that might be worth following up on for sure.
Every bit to help prove the vote fraud that I am certain happened...

Doesn't matter WHERE they voted -- the numbers do NOT add up! :) Best, Ida

14. Err Popular vote doesn't trump Electoral College
Or am I misreading the problem?

Since many many people in America live in the urban centers of NY and LA the total vote of women/men in these solidly Dem states would not affetc the electoral college correct? So although say hypothetically out of 10 million (female) votes 5.4 million went to Kerry, might it not be possible that the majority of those votes ame from solid dem states? Then the other votes for the liar would push the electoral colleg in his favor.

I dunno, I'm an ignant furriner.

I hope it's just me misreading the problem.

16. What Ida is saying is...
That we have exit polling data for the entire country as well as the total popular vote. The data for this set does not jive.

So, there must be some problem with a subset of the data, a particular state or states. For example, I may check my fridge and note that is is not working. It could be the motor, it could be the power to my house, or any number of things, but I would have to check to be sure.

It may just be that Bush only got 55% of the vote in Texas instead of 65% percent but it could also mean that Kerry won Florida instead of not.

19. Kick and Comment!
We need exit polling data county by county and compare it to the actual vote totals county by county.

We then need to compare the exit polling data in DIEbold counties as compared to non-DIEbold counties.

22. I'm Sure You'll Soon Be Tombstoned, And Unable To Read This, But...
"The people have spoken."

True. It's just that once again, no one was listening...

"The Left’s attempts to “get out the vote” using Hollywood, Springsteen and every half-baked pop culture icon failed… it probably even backfired."

Opposed by the Right's attempts to get out the vote using the Grand Ole Opry, NASCAR and Curt Schilling? Let's call this one a wash...

" have to wonder how many of the new voters recruited by the “non-partisan” groups like Rock the Vote went with Bush, completely fed up with the dirty tricks, misrepresentations and complete bullshit put forth by the Kerry Camp and the exhalted leader/liar of the joke of a political party called Terry McAuliffe."

Hmm... Last I saw, 18-24 year olds went overwhelmingly to Kerry, sometimes by as much as 2:1. So, perhaps the 33% that went to Bush is what you're talking about. EXCEPT...

a) that 33% would have gone to Bush regardless, unless he was in for a REAL electoral ass-raping, and

b) the exit polls were "wrong" again ( :eyes: ), so I guess we'll never really know, will we...?

"The DNC could have made the right choice and set forth Lieberman, Kucinich or Clarke as the challenger, yet went with the popularity contest in a failed attempt to remove Bush at any cost. The DNC thought not about the future of our country, rather about the easy win."

"Easy win?"

Heh.

If there were an easy win to be had, we could have run Carol Mosley-Braun, or even Zell Miller and had no worries...

"Spin didn’t work."

Considering that Bush "won," I'd say it did. That's the problem.

"Moveon.org didn’t work."

Sure they did. Apparently, SwiftBoat Liars for Bush worked harder.

"Hate didn’t work. In fact, it backfired."

Whatever.

Isn't hate REALLY what's driving your little visit from FreeperLand to gloat? Oh wait, you're probably tombstoned by now, so I huess you're right...

"There were no questions this time around people - no Floridas, no recounted votes."

Actually, there was one Florida and an Ohio.

As for the questions, here's one: how do you explain exit polls being accurate in EVERY STATE IN THE UNION, save for two: Florida and Ohio? Here's another: how do you explain Bush, the Republicans, and even people like yourself who were genuinely concerned that Kerry had won a decisive victory up until about 6 pm, Eastern -- when the fix was apparently in? Bonus question: How do self-professed "moral" people cheat and still sleep at night?

On second thought, don't answer that last question: we already know the answer...

"Bush handily won BOTH the electoral college AS WELL AS the popular vote. With almost a 4 million vote margin!"

LOL!

274 Elctoral Votes = "winning handily?" You ARE aware that that you need 270 to win, right? Then there's this inexplicable decision of Kerry's to concede 20 of those, despite a chance to win them outright for himself...

But enough about math, it seems you're having enough trouble with ENGLISH....

"Kerry spent MORE money on advertising, had more people pounding the streets, and registered more new voters….all for nothing."

Wow!

It only took you to PARAGRAPH #9 to write something that actually makes sense...

"Mr. Kerry has lost. Period. Get over it. Swallow your pride."

Hmm...

So... when faced with the same challenge, Republicans can simply CHEAT to avoid defeat?

NOW do you see why it's not that easy to "get over it?" Next, you'll be saying "life isn't fair." You know: the OTHER thing people who think they've won tends to say...

"So STFU..."

Funny: that's the same thing I was going to suggest to YOU...

...oh wait: you already have, Tombstone Boy. :P
