certain part of LA County have touch-screen voting. Can you say "padding"?

1. While questionable I think you will have a hard time convincing anyone
of "padding" when the only evidence we have so far is that they used touch-screen voting.

6. Actually we already have extensive evidence of ts machines corresponding
with padding. Sorry to disappoint.

2. Agreed
I read all of these articles in the paper that California was experiencing record voter registration in the weeks prior to the election. And now they're trying to say that CA had record low turnout. Something's not right with this picture. And Kerry actually won more counties than Gore did the last time, but his lead actually shrunk by 100,000 votes compared to Gore's in the final tally.

DOES NOT COMPUTE.

5. I helped with voter registration in L.A., and...
it seemed as though the Registrations doubled or tripled the last few weeks. Since a lot of CA, and especially L.A. is 'true-blue,' I cannot imagine voting level being 'down'...particularly for Kerry. In fact, I hardly saw a "Bush/Cheney" bumper sticker at all the last few weeks. Almost everyone had a "Kerry/Edwards" one. (And many still do!)

Again, this is the first major election since Repug's took over Sacramento. You might ask what's his name....

7. Orange County is also VERY Republican...VERY
You might also check around Pasadena/Glendale. Also quite Conservative.

4. Even before the election, it seemed like the heavily Republican areas had
Touch Screen...or so I heard. (Like San Diego, and Riverside.) I remember thinking it was interesting that such heavily Repug areas were going to have Electronic Voting. Particularly since it was the first major election since Repug, Arnold was Governor.**

It may not mean anything, but...it would seem that 'padding' in those areas would be easy to do, and easily 'ignored.'

9. Los Angeles...
Hi all,

Los Angeles not only had electronic voting (for early voting), but it was on ACV Edge Touchscreen/DREs that have not papertrail.

And guess what... they were NOT given the usual testing by the State.

I'll have more when I can update the "Project California" threads.

Warmly,

George

Gore, Cleland, and Davis have all been screwed by this crap as well as countless others. The gain of Senate seats for the Pukes made me as pissed off as the theft from J/J. I haven't slept well in so fucking long. Please truth come out now and destroy the BFEE.
