2. I've passed through that stage and am now nursing a real bad headache
and stomach pains coupled with plummeting depression.

Late tonight I'm sure I'll swing back into rage mode.

7. livid -- that's the word I was looking for
yep, that's me. Actually, I am so livid I am scarily calm. I am livid beyond the point of stomping around and screaming (I wanted to do that earlier, but you know, neighbors). I am like a crazy person now, I am so livid.

God, thanks for that word. It's me. Livid, and on my b-day.

17. Yeah, I'm also "scarily calm"
I've been waiting for tears, for stomping, smashing, for SOMETHING, but all I'm feeling is this cold brick in my throat.

Not ONE WORD in that speech about electronic voting. NOT ONE!!!!!

I'm back to believing what I did when he entered the race - he was a setup by the machine to pacify.

I am no longer a Democrat.

9. Screw you John Kerry and George Bush.
Greg Palast had it correct when he wrote just a few short days ago, that Florida had already thrown out thousands of Kerry votes with the use of the touch screen machines. Ohio did likewise as the CEO of Diebold promised .... So who is standing up for the people who put thousands of hours working for Kerry and other Democrats. NO ONE!

They are going to concede!

I think I will be leaving the Democratic party unless they make big changes and fast. The only thing I saw from the Democratic leadership was begging emails for money and more money.

Now Kerry is going to give up and leave us blowing in the wind just like Al Gore did. I simply will not waste any more of my time on a party that panders to the most corrupt gang of thugs to ever see the inside of the White House. The Democrats have not stood up for "we the people" for a long time now and I will no longer frustrate myself by continuing to hope for a party that has become nothing more than a republican lite party.

It would have been so much better if the Democratic party had joined in the cries from the voters calling for a paper trail but with the exception of a few people in Congress there was nothing but deadly silence. I can only assume at this stage that the Democrats who had the power to make a difference are in bed with the Corporate owned Republicans.
I am too disgusted for words.

The whole damn bunch have betrayed this country. They have hi-jacked Democracy and insulted the entire world by shoving that self-serving, lying thug in our faces for four more years to continue the damage that will eventually destroy this country.

Some one had estimated months ago that it will take 50 yrs to recover from the damage that bu$h and his religious fundamentalists have done to this country. We don't stand a chance with another 4 yrs unless someone wises up and prosecutes these war criminals and soon.

I have a son in Iraq and I now know that I will never see him again. The coming blood bath will guarantee that.

Screw you John Kerry and George Bush. You are the scum of the earth. May your corrupt souls fry in hell.

what to think, what to do, what to plan for the next 4 years of a lameduck insane little angry moronic idiot like bush.

He has carte blanche on everything now - more wars, more squeezing of the poor and middle class, more gifts to his rich friends, more crimes blessed by god himself.

dammit, this is as bad as bad can be.

22. i don't understand
why you people are so pissed at JFK.

he lost, and he didn't have a snowball's chance in hell at making up the vote difference with all the absentee ballots, as has been reported almost everywhere. but if it makes you feel better to take your anger out on Kerry instead of the deluded Dems who thought we'd win in a so-called "landslide," so be it.

The sweet smell of a great sorrow lies over the land
Plumes of smoke rise and merge into the leaden sky:
A man lies and dreams of green fields and rivers,
But awakes to a morning with no reason for waking

He's haunted by the memory of a lost paradise
In his youth or a dream, he can't be precise
He's chained forever to a world that's departed
It's not enough, it's not enough

His blood has frozen & curdled with fright
His knees have trembled & given way in the night
His hand has weakened at the moment of truth
His step has faltered

One world, one soul
Time pass, the river rolls

It's not enough it's not enough
His hand has faltered
.... .... ......

And he talks to the river of lost love and dedication
And silent replies that swirl invitation
Flow dark and troubled to an oily sea
A grim intimation of what is to be

There's an unceasing wind that blows through this night
And there's dust in my eyes, that blinds my sight
And silence that speaks so much louder that words,
Of promises broken

10. Absolutely
I am SOOOO glad I am outside the country right now. I feel 'Murka will be a very different place next time I'm there. Been following this all very closely from Amsterdam. Voted absentee three weeks ago, but I doubt it was even counted. Doesn't matter since it was GA. But ... the machines have spoken, so we need to be united and let them do their work.

12. yes
beyond angry, pissed, livid,

i would have loved to have been in fanuiel hall to scream a rant at that coward kerry. i was hoping someone would.

i was never a kerry lover, but i voted for him and he has spit in my face and in the faces of all who voted for him and spit twice in the face of all those who worked so hard to get him elected.

***

they think we need to rally and find common ground with the facists?

what evidence is there that *they* want common ground? they don't give a shit about unity.

how stupid does kerry think we are?

Edited on Wed Nov-03-04 02:36 PM by malaise
but since things will only get worse, let Bush go down with his ship.

Rove played a master card by putting the gay marriage issue on the Ohio ticket. Control the governors and manipulate the agenda.
We've all been duped again. Complete shock is the only word to describe most public opinion today.

the ones between a man and a woman?
This amendment was to prohibit gay marriage, not let gays marry.

an effective way to express your anger and to convey that to the rest of your community in a peaceful non obstructive way would be to fly your flag upside down..it is the only proper and accepted way to fly your flag in time of dire distress for the nation

23. Upset, disappointed. Not Livid
It is okay to be upset, disappointed. But, the most productive course is to keep working. Take a break, let the dust settle and then get back to work. Getting livid is counter-productive. It plays right into the hands of the opposition. I can't tell you how many times I heard from pubs about the charges of slashed tires and burned pubbie HQ's. Such nonsense, but they believe this garbage. Don't fuel their fire. We don't play to them. We play to America. Sadly, America spoke and it was not for us. We have to change that. Being livid will not change one vote in our favor in 2008.

That said, Damn!

26. a post i made in another forum....
Well, i'ts been mildly interesting/infuriating arguing with some of you on here.

I've come to the following conclusions about this country..

1. A living breathing "brown" human is less important than a cluster of cells that will eventually become a human.

2. Lying and killing 100,000 people for no valid reason is OK with approximately half of the population.

3. A "moral" and "religious" leader that does everything to the contrary is still seen as such.

4. People are easily frightened into believing they are more likely to die from a terrorist attack than a car accident, or falling from a ladder, and will elect a leader that actively encourages hatred of said people.

5. People don't give a fuck if they vote on a machine that has no ability to be audited, recounted or analyzed in any way, even if the owner of the company has pronounced his intention to "provide" the votes of his state to one party or another.

and last but not least..

6. The vast majority of conservatives in this country completely and totally fucking disgust me. While i can still remain friends with some, in the end, i just can't comprehend the lack of compassion for anyone.

that's it. Enjoy your wars, your tax cuts (hikes) black is white, up is down, fascism is democracy. Be sure and thank bush for the next terror attack, and the inevitable collapse of the oil-driven economy while he does nothing to ease the transition.

ps. John kerry can kiss my fucking ass for giving up in the face of massive and obvious electronic voting fraud-re: ohio and florida.

I will not be returning to this thread, so don't bother bitching at me.
