John Kerry to visit the Middle East next month
One of the many reasons I voted for JFK, is because he is a man of his word. During his campaign he always talked about his support for the troops, even though he had sour feelings towards the war. And he shows that it wasn't all talk. Next month he will be visiting or soldiers, and showing his respect for what they are doing...

John Kerry to visit the region next month

By Daphna Berman

Former U.S. presidential candidate John Kerry will be visiting Israel and the Palestinian Authority early next month, political sources close to the Democratic Party told Haaretz yesterday.

The trip, scheduled to coincide roughly with the Palestinian elections, is part of a larger tour of the Middle East for the Massachusetts senator.

The dates for the trip and the exact itinerary have not been confirmed, the senator's press secretary, April Boyd, said from Washington.

"The senator's main goal will be to visit Iraq and thank U.S. troops and troops from Massachusetts," she said, adding that Middle East peace is high on his agenda.

4. Yeah, I picked this up a couple of weeks ago, that he...
...was going to Iraq in January, and it worried me, and it still does. And this article says "early January." I don't like the sound of it at all, from a January 6 perspective.

Well, instead of a Santa's list, I've got a "wheat from the chaff" list, ready to be checked on that day.

5. Was Kerry drafted?
You know, I know about how the Republicans have arranged for small aircraft to crash, to take out people they didn't like, and how they are looking at that poisoning incident with interest. But drafting your political opponent and sending him into a deadly war zone? Now that's original!

Then again, I guess it's poetic justice; if Kerry was a better and more impassioned candidate, there probably wouldn't be a war there.

8. tomreedtoon, Kerry could have been Jesus reincarnate
and there would still be a war there because of the bloodlust of our most idiotic King George.

Kerry was a great candidate. * and his thugs stole the election. Period.

10. OT -- I've been staring at this screen too long -- my eyes are shot
When I saw this thread, I could have sworn the title was:
"John Kerry to visit Middle Earth next month."

So, either he's off to show his support for the hobbits or it's time for me to get some shut eye.
