But I'm unfortunately short on estrogen, so I'm going to get out of here before I get wind of the floaty hearts...

license plate slogan contest some years ago - "EAT CHEESE OR DIE," which I USED to think was just a sort of dairy-themed take-off on the actual New Hampshire slogan at that time, "LIVE FREE OR DIE."

...time for another Guinness! (Unless Cheese turns up a good Wisconsin brew)

It would be great having my own personal tour guide. :) I visited Boston once before (1983, I think). Didn't get to see much, because I was at my college roommate's house. She had a rather colorful family. Boston was part of the bigger package: bitch, bitch, get the hell out of the house, go on organ crawls, bitch, bitch, Fanuel Hall, a visit to Coffee Connection with lots of smokes (that was it for the "Boston" part), then more family bitch stuff. I was never more appreciative of my family as I was then!

214. Good - more for YOU!
I used to make my own, but a local Japanese restaurant specializing in superb, varied, super-fresh sushi has had a happy hour for the last year. What a deal! Excellent sushi, your pick of nigiri, 10 pieces for 10 bucks, even better deals for larger amounts. Goes from 5 PM to 6:30 PM Monday through Saturday. Heaven! Now I don't bother to make my own any more, when I get the yen (so to speak), I head over there. Friendly people, pleasant unpretentious place, too.

By the way, the place is "Sushi 21," and in a Google search I just did I discovered they are a chain with restaurants as far away as Illinois and California. I don't know if the other sites have the happy hour or the super-high-quality sushi, but it might be worth checking if one is local.

Why, with all those long winter nights to perfect those home-brews? I'm thinking you just haven't been as assiduous as you might be in investigating the microbreweries of Wisconsin. Now that you've impugned them all, they may insist on it! (If you're LUCKY!)

192. In Wisconsin? And people laugh when they hear about Missouri wineries!
My house is surrounded by wineries. One fine summer day I heard someone slamming on their brakes in front of my house. When I looked out I saw a man and a woman, in a convertible, stopped in the road. The man was driving and the reason he stopped was that his SO had gone berserk. She was screaming at him and and jumping in and out of the car. Well, she finally settled down and they drove off. A minute later I heard brakes slamming on again! Some people should stay off the sauce.

20. Hey, Rev.
I thought about you this weekend. I went to a party for my friend's mother at her church (and the one I sort of grew up in -- I was raised part Methodist), and the Pastor was so cool, I wondered what your take on the whole thing would have been. She reminded me of the Mad Hatter since it was a fancy dress ball and she was wearing a top hat in addition to her long coat and collar. Very fun evening, really nice event.

170. Why yes there are.
The EDV was going to pick berries from the bramble that grow on the
hill by the Crimson river that spilled into Gull Bay. With the air temps in the
mid 80s and a warm breeze off the bay it was not long before she had collected
4 quarts of black raspberries. She was sweating and her hands and lips were
stained with juice from the fruits. (Over the top warning! Juice from the fruits
:puke:) She wandered down the path to a little sandy spit of land along the
Crimson River.

She felt free and alive and gave into he estrogen driven urge and
shed her stained jumper and dove into the cool waters which tingled
her all over. After a little while she swam up out of the water and laid
out on a warm boulder on the beech. Wicked thoughts of the young
gardner went through her head as she drifted off to sleep.

On a bluff over looking the river Sean Kennedy watched her sleep and
laughed as mother black bear and her cubs dined on her fruits as she
slept. The bears were quite too and the mother bear rose up on her back
legs and seemed to wave to Sean as if they were sharing an inside joke.

Actually, I have no accent to speak of. My father taught me how to speak like a DJ (which he was when he met my mother) so that I would have no accent at all.

But, the people around me? It's all "the cah is outside, next to the cellar" stuff. I don't know what a cellar is. I always had a basement!

hee! yes, the vote rigging software was carefully prepared beforehand by my allies. ;) ha! no, it was the old fashioned raise-your-hand kind of vote. didn't put heads down on the desk or anything. :P

Dan Abrams' bad ties.... sigh.... we may have to adopt him. Wonder when his b'day is? :7

152. Hee! yes, everyone in the nation,
please put your heads down on your desk and raise your hand. :)

You know, when I was in Thailand, they had an election there, and after everyone had voted they pulled the ballots out of the ballot box and called them off and tallied them on the chalkboard in front of everyone. It was kinda cool!

199. NATURE PHOTO FOR TONIGHT
This is one of mine, taken this time last spring at Halibut point, near Rockport on the Massachusetts coast. These granite slabs are from a formation that solidified before the dinosaurs evolved, back when the terrain that carried them was likely a volcanic island somewhere in the Southern Hemisphere. The stone is ancient. There's an old quarry, now a part of a state park, up the cliffs, and stone from from it appears in state houses and banks far away. There's a lighthouse too - Halibut Point has long been a landmark for ships. Click on the link to see the rocks down by the waves. No sandy beach here!

Hope everyone had a better day today.

Great pic Hope. Wonder if that granite is as hard as Port Deposit granite?http://www.portdeposit.com/

I had to watch Keith downstairs away from the computer earlier. Getting read to head to bed and wanted to put a couple pics of spring in the clubhouse. They aren't much but at least a sign of spring here.

Keith had a great show tonight and loved his the world keeps on and giving other news. I hope he caught opening day at Yankee Stadium yesterday. He needed a lift (and baseball is not a sport but the air he breathes.) (And the O's won today)

Hope everyone has a good day tomorrow and that Clark gets a phone call saying you're hired can you start _______? (Clark fills in the date.)

Rev saw your bit about mushrooms but don't think the truck goes any where near you. The hub has a habit of giving away boxes of shrooms when he has extras. (weekly usually) They are never older than 20 hours when he delivers the last ones. (picked and travel time)
