Voting machine maker hires ex-election head

Kathy Rogers had passionately defended Diebold during state hearings. She will lobby Georgia officials now.

The former head of elections for Georgia is going to work for the company that supplied the state's $75 million electronic voting machine system.

SNIP...."vendors and lobbyists are with public officials," said Garland Favorito, founder of VoterGa, a nonpartisan group working for changes in elections. "I can't say there is a conflict of interest because she should be free to pursue the best career option. But her unwavering testimony at the Legislature in favor of Diebold and voting that cannot be verified, audited or recounted defied common sense to the point that it amazed nearly all of us."

1. And now Rogers gets her reward.
Is calling her an enemy of Democracy too dramatic?

4. This one sentence gave me hope,
"defied common sense to the point that it amazed nearly all of us."

People are starting to know and understand what is going on with these e-counting machines, thats a big plus.
