"The Year was 2006, and in Waukesha County.."
The Year was 2006, and in Waukesha County...

Waukesha - Computer glitches, inoperable equipment and other problems troubled Tuesday's primary balloting in Waukesha County, resulting in one candidate mistakenly being posted as winner of a race only later to be declared the loser.
The problems also prevented the county from posting final results of races until the early morning hours of Wednesday, and kept the county from posting results online.

Across Wisconsin, Tuesday's primary marked the debut of 2,800 new handicap-accessible voting machines mandated in 2002 under the Help Americans Vote Act.

In Waukesha County, problems with touch-screen equipment were among a host of snafus.

1. Sounds like Ohio in 2004 (and no investigation ensued there)
one infrared county suddenly had a weather anomaly that absolutely nobody else in the state had ... which led to the irregularity ...

but then, you had all the screaming of the "fake votes" by Democrats, which were investigated ... and found to be fictitious ...

5. Neither party is interested in allowing the will of the people to reign.
I used to believe the Dems would fight for their votes but after witnessing Ohio 1st hand, working on the investigation, working to see the D's won control in '06 and watching as they did nothing, I realized I was wrong.

6. Mom!
Those were some days, eh?

Now here we are again.... if they don't do it now, in Wisconsin, that will be the final straw for me.
This ol' sway-backed donkey is carrying too heavy a load as it is. I sure hope they actually relieve some of this load by the party doing one hell of a donkey kick to get our vote counting under control.

Peace....

7. It's up to the grassroots/unions in WI because they won't get help
from the national party.

I hope WI jump started the progressive movement. This election I won't be working for the top of the party.

peace back at you free! :hi:
