Naked Came the Manatee (thumbs down)

It was written by 13 authors, each writing one chapter. It was good up until about Chap. 5, where stupid author Evelyn Mayerson kills off one of the wonderful chief characters, a 102-year old woman. Castro looms large and there are 2 fake heads resembling him for some dumb reason.

The old lady's death killed the book for me. Yuk.

Elmore Leonard wrote Chapeer 12 and Carl Hiaasen wrote Chapter 13. I could not bring myself to read that far.

my library gave the book away so i actually have it

it sucks

books by 13 authors are pretty much guaranteed to be teh suck, unless it's 13 different stories

this concept of the chain, just doesn't work, there is no over arching imagination at work
