Any suggestions on a good intro book on Leo Strauss?
I've really been getting into books on Conservative thinking, Machiavelli, etc. Since most of the * cabal are followers of Strauss, I'm looking to do some reading on his teachings and see where they got their ideas from.

I was thinking about this one:"The Rebirth of Classical Political Rationalism : An Introduction to the Thought of Leo Strauss"

Any thoughts, suggestions?

3. Yes, and look at the world through the eyes of Thrasymachus
because that's who Strauss believes is the real mouthpiece in Plato's work and not Socrates.

2. that and a few others. There is one hell of a bookstore at U of C where
he hatched his ideas. A great bookstore, old, lots of little rooms and corners, and a superb collection of, well, everything.
That is not a bad start, though.
