1. My advise, put the book down and step away from the baby
you can not raise a child by the book. You'll screw the little goober up.

2. There are many ways to screw a baby up.

Including ignoring certain modes of communication such as books, which have served babies quite well by taking the power away from specialists who supposedly knew all, but gave parents horrific advice.

And I remember how my mother raised me. I like John Rosemond's take on parenting. "A Family of Values" is good.
