I posted about him in the poverty and economic development forum, but I think a lot of people would be interested in his work. I've just read Development as Freedom, which suggests that a country's "development" should not be viewed merely as an increase in GDP or average income, but as the result of a number of other factors. It's not too heavy on economics or economic theory. I'm about to start reading Inequality Reexamined, which also sounds like a promising book.

Not sure if anyone's interested, but I'll throw it out there for those looking for a good and informative read.
