Looking for a second hand laptop in good condition.
I know, especially for students who are in the Techie world, their laptops become obsolete by the time they graduate and so they're in the market to upgrade. Thus, I know I'm not completely nuts in hoping to find a good second hand laptop. My needs are wordprocessing, computer access and a laptop that can play DVDs.

1. Have you tried your local small computer repair shops?
I'm finding that many of ours are selling older laptops. And many have prices that are lower than BestBuy's *sales*, and usually has the amount of memory needed for the installed OS (something BestBuy doesn't always do on sale items).

I'd shop around locally before trying on the net. YMMV.

2. I've bought all my laptops on eBay used
just got my step mom one last Xmas and she loves it

there are quite a few dealers on there that have the corporate lease returns for sale. they're 1-2 years old and work great for $300-$400 bucks

6. Wow! The average is 15 bids per computer.
This is the first one I found that is near what I'm looking for, but the RAM seems low. What do you think?

find one you like and do the 'buy it now' option, but he looks like a good seller

there's several of them, but his feedback is good and the shipping prices seem fair. and it's already loaded with XP so that's good.

have fun :hi:
