1. Carolina
Sean May, Raymond Felton, Rashad McCants, Jackie Manuel, Jawad Williams, and Marvin Williams.

Oh yeah, it's Roy's year, too. :P

4. Roy Williams, I hate that man
As a Texas Tech alumn, I've had my share of experiences with Roy Williams while he was with Kansas. Personally, I'd love to see him get wiped out by Illinois, plus his record in the final four has been awful. Let's see what happens. History is against him.

31. TTU alum
But my reasons to root for UI are different. One, I'm tired of folks telling the Big 10 that we are a bunch of scrubs who never play tough teams. Second, UI hasn't been this far in eons. Third, Roy Williams doesn't promote teamwork; it's 20th century players. But if Carolina wins, I'm certain the ACC fans will say that Illinois didn't have any tough games. Hello, we took on WF and Cincinnati early on, won, and we came back to win against AZ (good team).

And, I love TTU..both Lady Raiders and Raiders...

32. Can't knock Illinois
or Wisconsin or Michigan State. Usually, I'm pretty condescending toward the Big 10, but they have had one hell of a year. Almost as good as the ACC :P.

Seriously, the Big 10 has really started to impress over the last few years. I think it's getting away from the softness of the 90s and back into its old power conference form.

2. I gotta go with Illinois.
I think they are to fast for the North Carolina. They look so good pushing the ball up the court. They've got three guys that can run the break.

We only get college basketball for a little longer. Plus, March Madness is bigger than October. period.

Truth be told, NC is tough. It'll be a great game. Number 1 versus number 2.

12. I hope it's a good game. I'm hoping for an epic triple overtime
where some of the stars foul out and the benchers have to come in and win the thing.

NC has more talent in their starting five, but Illinois has a stronger bench.

Defense wins championships. And I am biased toward the Big 10 because basically the entire country has ripped the Big 10 all year and canonized the ACC.

23. Yes. His Dad Was A Pro
Scott May played in the NBA for years. Probably at least 10. He played for the Bulls a few years. But i think that was at the tail end of his career. I don't remember who drafted him though. He was College Player of the Year, so he went high in the draft.

He wasn't a big star in the NBA, but a good player who could get points and rebounds. Not a stud, but a solid pro.

27. Thanks.
I checked it out. He played seven seasons. The first five for the Bulls and then Detroit and Milwaukee. His stats aren't great (I'm betting Sean's will be better) but seven seasons ain't bad.

21. Carolina!
They're as talented as teams come, good guards, May's a beast, depth (great bench)--Williams is a good coach although he's never won a title. UNC has all the pieces, if they play to their ability and don't play out of control, as they have many times this season, then they should win!

The Illini by 8.

If May has a good game for UNC, then it will be close.

If not, then the Fighting Illini will win handily.

as good as carolina is, i think the illini's defense will be able to slow them down, their (underrated) big guys will be able to contain may and their backcourt will definitely be able to contain felton. carolina has a lot of talent, but contain felton and may and the game is as good as over.

of course i am biased as a big ten fan but illinois is just too good to lose. i usually find myself doubting anything with a lot of hype but that backcourt trio is one of the best that i've ever seen.

I can't stand Roy. I thought he was a douchebag at Kansas, then thought he was an even bigger douchbag for leaving Kansas.

I'm an Ok State alum, so I've had my fill of him.
