NFL Draft: Redskins aquire Denvers 1st Round Pick (#25)

Denver gets Washington's 3rd round pick (this year) and Washington's 1st and 4th round picks next year.

Not sure how I feel about this, if the Redskins suck, Denver could end up with a high pick next year. But this will give Washington the chance to get some help on Defense (CB) & Offense (WR)

1. Well I don't see Washngton doing too well next year even with 2 picks
For they have too many holes to fill (QB, WR, TE, OG, DE, DB), and with Philly and an improved Dallas in the division I see 'em getting maybe 7 wins if they're lucky. I think they'll get a corner and take a roll of the dice and go for Matt Jones.

3. maybe they are trading up to Cleveland's 3rd pick
to get a QB, then they will fix other positions with whats left over(draftpicks)

5. Don't forget Big Blue.....
...we've had a great off season and I see us making the playoffs at 9-7 at least.

4. If I were a 'Skins fan...
...I'd be pulling my hair out. Why make this trade days before the draft? A dozen things could happen to keep them from getting whoever they're targeting. You don't trade up just to get into a particular area. You trade up targeting a specific player. Especially if you use a 1st, current or future. It's usually for a guy you absolutely know is there at the spot.

They must already have an understanding with SanFran or Miami to use those two 1st to move to 1st or 2nd overall. And frankly, I don't see anyone they need that's worth what they'll have to shell out for the contract. Aaron Rodgers or Alex Smith? They're giving up on Ramsey? If so they better pray the rook is good from day 1...and most aren't. If he isn't the fans are gonna be nuts! Braylon Edwards or Mike Williams? They just traded for Santana Moss and signed David Patten. Derrick Johnson? Not worth it IMO. Anyone of the top three CBs aren't worth it. They don't need one of the top RBs.

Who could they be targeting that they have a pretty solid shot of being there?
