Big Ten says no more expansion.
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/news/story?id=5888109

In a statement, the Big Ten said it will monitor the landscape in college sports but "will not be actively engaged in conference expansion for the foreseeable future and does not expect to be proactively seeking new members."

2. They got a conference championship, there's no reason to add
another team and dilute the revenues. Even as a conference of 2 divisions/6 teams each, they can still keep many of their natural rivalries in tact even if the teams end up in difference divisions. The more they expand, the harder that will be. They might be able to get away with adding 2 more members somewhere in the future, but I think 12 gets you all the advantages of a bigger conference and minimizes some of the drawbacks.
