Boise State and LSU flip BCS positions due to data error.
The final Bowl Championship Series standings had to be corrected after a mistake was found that changed the rankings of Boise State and LSU, but did not affect any bowl matchups.

Jerry Palm, who runs the websites www.collegebcs.com and wwww.collegerpi.com, found a discrepancy in the Colley Matrix computer ratings, one of six used by the Bowl Championship Series to determine which teams play for the national championship and in some of the other marquee bowl games.

Wesley Colley says Palm, who verifies the Colley Matrix ratings, noticed the results of an FCS playoff game involving Appalachian State and Western Illinois had not been included in the data based used to generate the ratings.

2. This sounds like a human error
Because the game wasn't included in the rankings... Or was it a human error that the computer isn't told to look at sub FBS games?

5. Playoffs...
Until then we'll never know if teams like Boise can play with the Big Boys.

6. Boise better get themselves attached to one of the big boys....
...because the world is going to change after the BCS contract is up in 2014. Interesting read here. And a very posssible scenario.http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/story/15164842/divide-might-be-coming-but-which-leagues-will-conquer
