1. Gets even better.
The Vikings initially said that it would be paid work (much like the Packers that are paying people $8/hour to shovel Lambeau on Friday) but then U of Minn came out and emphatically said it would be volunteer only. I don't have a link, but it was on my Twitter feed (believe it was the nfc central espn blog).

2. I read that the Vikings were going to cover the cost!
How weird. I don't think the University is thrilled about this, IMHO.

3. The university has a budget of 250k per game
Edited on Wed Dec-15-10 08:19 PM by charlie and algernon
They said it will cost between 750k and 1 million for the Vikings game. I think the university is REALLY hoping they choose the Colts stadium instead.

4. I think they should take Indy's offer to play the game in Lucas Field.

Even though it's a sign of someone that's deeply, deeply disturbed

12. But that's really crappy for Minnesota fans.
They lost one home game already, I think they are trying to make sure it doesn't happen again. Maybe they should come to Green Bay.

6. That stadium has some strange features for a stadium in Minnesota.

10. It's a great basic college stadium
Many of my USC friends who made the trip were impressed this year. No frills but an astute return to campus after decades removed, including playing at the Metrodome.

I wish my Canes could find room and clairvoyance to build something like that in Coral Gables, or nearby.

The Big 10 has always ended its season early, not as many bad weather dates coming into play. That might change now that the league has expanded.

8. They should just leave the snow right where it fell.
Chicago got skunked at home last week 36-7 by the Pats - IN THE SNOW. It might be the Vikes only chance...
