People seem to forget that. Name me another coach thats gotten Maryland there? Gator Bowl. Chick-Fil-A Bowl. All of these are considered pretty good bowls. Marylands been to all of them. And won a good percentagee of them. Including beating Rich Rod's WV and Tennesse.

5. Leach is Mark Duffner 2.0

I guess I'm the only one who remembers that guy, another genius who concluded he didn't have to bother running the ball or playing defense. Maryland hired him in the early '90s. I was on a Las Vegas sports talk show in those years and one fellow panelist was a Maryland alum who gushed over Duffner, saying his sophisticated schemes would dominate the ACC. Meanwhile, his teams were a paper mache farce, exposed to such extreme that my anti-Maryland wagers were almost boring in their dependability.
