Creepy cheap junk shot idiots like DeSean Jackson today. I'm tired of the idiocy. Barry Sanders would score, then hand the football off to the ref.

That's the way it should be done. Agree? Anybody better than Barry Sanders is invited to weigh in here.

1. Walter Payton
Simply the best. Ever. Running back. And a classy guy.

2. In addition to Walter Payton: Emmitt Smith and Franco Harris.
No showboating is required when you have multiple Super Bowl Rings.

6. Emmitt Smith used to rip his helmet off after ever touchdown
That way we could see who did it.

3. I'm not defending Jackson, but
on the local station, one of the commentators stated that he was running out the clock...don't know if I believe that, but it might be true, might be a coinkydink, or might be wholly untrue. there was no game clock running in the Teevee background during the return of the punt.

BTW, I'm a Vick Hater...and Reid by extension...and I've been an Iggles fan for 53 of my 57 years.

8. I'm pretty sure that was the reason.
Yes, he's showboated with the worst of them, but in this case it seems pretty clear he wanted to make sure the clock was :00.

4. Faygo. Noticed the George C. Scott 'Christmas Carol' thing.
Have you caught the Zemeckis film with Carrey? Watched it last night. One of the coolest films I ever saw.

10. There's fun and then there's arrogance
Fun---The Fun Bunch that the Skins had years ago..DeSean Jackson is an arrogant SOB, who along with his buddy Vick are RAPIDLY making professional football unwatchable.

11. LOL! Because they aren't on your team?
This is such tripe. If they were playing for you and tearing it up like they are you'd love it. DeSean is nothing less than awesome and Vick is playing out of his mind. Don't be a player hater.

12. Maybe for you...
But I love Jackson...and I love that he knew that there may have been time on the clock and to run it out.

Quit yelling at the imaginary kids on your lawn.

18. I dunno. I like hockey's attitude on it.
I remember Tocchet's reaction to Ovechkin's celebration, where Ovie laid his stick on the ice and held his hands over it as it were on fire, "I grew up in the old days in the Spectrum where in the first period, after that happened, it might have been a three-hour first period."

I'm with Rick. :)

19. Yeah well, the game isn't like that anymore.
Sadly. Ovechkin is a guy who could have played in any era.

20. Oh, I actually don't mind Ovie.
He's an exciting player. He scores, he hits, he skates. He even dropped the gloves last week (granted, against Dubinsky, but still...). He's worth paying to see. But I still agree that showboating should be met with hostility, as Tocchet suggests. :)

15. Sadly...
The reason Payton & Sanders aren't considered the two greatest running backs of all time (my uncle will say Jim Brown) is because they weren't showboats. If they were self promoters they would be considered 1 & 2. You never even heard Payton say a word about being slighted by Ditka in the Superbowl when Ditka gave the ball to "The Fridge" on the goal line instead of giving it to "Sweetness." Barry Sanders could have shattered Payton's record but he didn't care about the record, when he saw the way the Lions were getting rid of good players because of money, after they had laid it all on the line for that team he became disgusted with the game and just left. Emmitt Smith became a carpetbagger so he could break the record.

25. It's just the way it is in the modern game
I think guys like Jackson are douchebags, but it's not going to change so we should all just get used to it and enjoy the show.

It probably even makes the games more interesting, as it will be very sweet to see the Eagles get eliminated in the playoffs because of guys like Jackson.
