Brady comments on MVP possibility
During his weekly Monday appearance on sports radio 850 WEEI, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was asked his thoughts on winning another Most Valuable Player award. Brady previously won the award in 2007.

Speaking with Boston Globe columnist Bob Ryan and former Patriots teammate Troy Brown, Brady said the award doesn't make sense to him because football is a team sport.

"I can understand the Most Valuable Golfer or something like that," Brady said, before mentioning Eagles quarterback Michael Vick and Colts quarterback Peyton Manning as great players who fit what their teams do well.

"Unfortunately, it's really a quarterback award. Not a lot of other great players get that recognition, which they probably should. There are so many great players in the league. I guess it's something that they have to do. The only award I ever care about is a Super Bowl ring. That's the only one that's important to me."

3. Vick?
That team would be crap if Kolb had stayed as QB. Patriots would still be very good with someone other than Brady.

Personally I would like to see someone like Peppers get it because that Chicago D is nowhere near as good without him--but god forbid it goes to a non-point-scorer.

4. Well, I think the case for Brady being the MVP always of the Pats
can be made by looking how much BETTER this team has been compared to the year where Cassell was the starter. They were still good, but nowhere near as dangerous. And you can make the case that Brady has had a BETTER year than the 2007 season when they went 16-0.
I dunno, I think he's a good candidate for MVP. And while MAYBE a better case for Vick can be made, I think Brady winning MVP is pretty right on.

6. After last night's game, Vick won't get it.
As a Vikings fan, I'm glad to see that there is still spark in those players. I have to believe it is whatever festering attitude Chilly let develop (or caused) that was bringing them down.
