Ben Roethlisberger deserves a karmic loss for being a fucking rapist
Not once, but three times... GO PACK! Yunno, the team owned by the fans, not corporations...

http://politicalcartel.org/2010/03/11/ben-roethlisberger-rape-pittsburgh-perspective/

If you Steeler fans don't like this, have some more cheese! It will be a chance to retire Big Ben and his little Johnson.

Good times!

2. Packers fan here. No one's going to look at Roethlisberger as a role model.
But, it's just a football game. It's entertainment! Many entertainers, of all genres have sordid pasts.

Enjoy it, if you like, or ignore it if you don't.

Let's cut the soap opera out of it. Hopefully the game will provide the entertainment.

64. as much as I think he did do what was alleged, he was not
convicted of anything, Sea. (and trust me, I have strong feelings on this matter.) It isn't fair, but that's what it is. However, the Steelers have always been a family-oriented team in the past, and it's unfortunate that his ability to win was what made the decision for them. Anyone else would have been gone from the team and people here were very, very angry about what he had done.

I am kind of glad the universe handed him a giant wake-up call.

i was really impressed with the interaction of steelers with packers. i am always a fan of good sportsmanship and i saw a lot of that. makes game more enjoyable to me. i understand the steelers players didnt back roth on his behavior and that is another thumbs up.

i am sorry for steeler fan. but... i believe the steelers have to pay the price for having that qb. he is not a good guy. before, when i was just hearing bits and pieces of story, i was standing up for guy, making all the excuses of how we dont know. the three males in my house called me on it and said, rape. then i read polic report

i hear ya though....

67. my son and I had some good discussions about what
respect for women really means, and no means no, and how no one should ever think of females as possessions, or property, or something to be bought. And how powerful men who choose to have/or force sex with drunken females in bathrooms are terribly flawed and have very serious problems. (and likely should be in jail.)

Because of course celebrity rapists never get acquitted. Right?
He wasn't indicted because the district attorney said "it couldn't be proven beyond a reasonable doubt", which I always thought was something to be established or not at trial. Not a reason to not have one. Different rules for the rich and famous, apparently.

21. Perhaps there wasn't any evidence ...

I will say he acted foolishly, but I have no idea whether he acted in a criminal manner. If he did, he will likely repeat his actions and this time he may be convicted.

I'm one of those people who believe a person is innocent until proven guilty.

I'm a Steelers fan and have been from the 70s. I was born in Pittsburgh and raised near Cleveland. I've watched the Steelers win six Superbowls and lose one.

I only wish for a good game with fair referees. I was hoping the Steelers would make the playoffs this year, so they far exceeded my expectations. Green Bay has a great team and it should be a good game.

15. But the Steelers are a favorite of the NFL. Remember Super Bowl XL.
The NFL already had a big celebration planed for the Steelers before the game, but it took some pretty brutal officiating for them to pull it off. It was in the best interest of the NFL that the Steelers won. I believe it stands as the worse officiated game in NFL history and it was a Super Bowl.

Can't root for a team who is led by a three time rapist. For christ's sake, the NFL suspended him 6 (and later reduced to 4) games for his last "indiscretion". The NFL looks no better in that they let this guy back in the league.
The rest of the guys on the team wouldn't even come to Rapersburger's defense when Roger Goodell did his investigation. I do feel bad for them but I hope the Steelers get crushed.

Either which way... this is about the team that has the refs make calls in their favor, or the best team. Of course, fairness requires that the winner be the best team. But, life isn't fair.
