La Melodramma è finita!
DENVER - The Denver Nuggets traded stars Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billups to the New York Knicks on Monday night, according to several reports.

The Denver Post and other league sources say the Nuggets traded Anthony and Billups in a three-team deal that involved the Golden State Warriors.

The Post reports in addition to sending the Knicks Billups and Anthony, Shelden Williams, Anthony Carter and Renaldo Balkman were also traded.

In return, the Post reports the Nuggets will get Wilson Chandler, Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, Timofey Mozgov, the Knicks' 2014 first-round pick, the Warriors' 2012 and 2013 second-round picks and $3 million in cash.

6. We are all crying and self flagellating in Denver today. But not over Melo...
Over Chauncey Billups. He was our home town hero.

Why did he have to go????

7. I think Denver is set at the PG position
They have a couple of young talented PGs in Raymond Felton and Ty Lawson. Raymond Felton put up better numbers than Billups this season, especially in assists, he is also younger. Billups is in his 30's. But the reason Felton's numbers are good is because he was the main PG in New York. It looks at Denver he will battling Lawson for playing time and Ty is a few years younger than Felton so they may try to get him as many minutes as possible to develop. There are rumors Denver may trade Felton and stick with Lawson. At the moment I think Denver is in a good spot with their point guards.

As far as replacing Melo, Denver got a talented young forward in Danilo Gallinari. He isn't Melo but is playing very well and should get better.

Like I said in another thread, I think New York gave up a lot, including a first round pick to get him. Also based on the rumors, Denver is far from done when it comes to trading so we'll see how that goes. In the meantime they got talented and very young players.

8. They got cheap players.
Kroenke and Junior Kroenke just wanted to unload the salaries and take home more money. They'll probably spend it on the damn Rams.

15. Alright, do you know that Caruso was in the 1906 Frisco earthquake?
He escaped from his hotel room and said that San Francisco was: "a 'ell of a town." He never returned.

But my great aunt was in it and it took her three days to get out of town. She was pregnant with her first child at the time.

ON EDIT

On the other hand, did you know that Millard Fillmore was born near Buffalo, New York on January 7, 1800?
