3. Just think - it could have been a Seattle/Vancouver series
which would have been really fun around here!

5. Wow. The East Coast Media would have had a field day with that one whining
about there being no national interest in the game.

6. I know! They would have hated it.
But it would have been fun here.

4. I'm still pissed
that Sterling moved the Clippers up to LA to be the J/V squad in Staples. I'd go to several games a year if they were still here in San Diego, but it's a PITA to drive up to LA for a game.

7. The Mavs MUST win
to avoid the specter of that glorified wide place in the road in the finals of a "major league" sport.

At least Memphis is known for something (blues, barbecue, etc.) The only thing Not-Seattle is known for is a domestic terrorist attack. :eyes:

This was the one thing that kept me for jumping for joy at the Lakers' Fukushima-style meltdown: Who would be left to take out the Not-Sonics?

8. The Calves will win easily
They were terrified of Memphis, but the Sonics aren't going to be a problem. 5 games, maybe six. Same in the east.

9. First of all Kevin Durant is from
PG County Maryland. He's also the anti- LeBron. And he's pretty smart- they did a story on those power bracelets that many players wear and he pronounced them as useless. Not an ego maniac, a Maryland homeboy and a skeptic? How could you root for douchebag Cuban's team ? Dallas is afterall home of more loathsome Pukes than any other city.

10. Believe it or not, the power bracelets were developed by a Yalie
they turned up in my alumni rag.

Pity Durant couldn't have found his way to the Wizards a la LeBoor.

Dallas proper is rather purplish, though it is indeed embedded in a matrix of loathsome pukedom. And OKC is hardly a bastion of liberalism.

11. I don't think Dallas could top Mesa
when it comes loathsome pukes. Not only do we have Russell Pearce but downtown Mesa also elected Neo-Nazi JT Ready. Scottsdale isn't much better with Ben Quayle who replaced John Shadegg in that district. I hear downtown Dallas is fairly liberal while liberals are like unicorns in Mesa.

13. I can't help but hate on Dallas
Edited on Tue May-17-11 02:59 PM by TZ
That kinda happens when you bleed burgundy and gold. And Scottsdale has a couple of things going for it.. It's beautiful and it's where my wonderful Mayo doctor lives....;) I actually would have a winterhouse in Scottsdale if I ever win the lottery...:). I would suspect the prescence of Mayo also attracts liberals.. My experience has been that health care professionals generally lean left...:)

12. I think that
Dallas would have a far greater chance of beating OKC than LA. Dallas has way more weapons than LA including very good guards on their bench. When it comes to the regular season Dallas had one hell of a run after the All-Star break where they only lost 1 game in February. However, a lot of these series comes down to match-ups but I think Dallas is clearly a better team than LA this season.
