Sheen says he took steroids while preparing for 'Major League' film.

Charlie Sheen claims that he took steroids while preparing for his role as Rick 'Wild Thing' Vaughn in "Major League II" in 1993. The actor told Sports Illustrated magazine, "Let's just say that I was enhancing my performance a little bit. It was the only time I ever did steroids. I did them for like six or eight weeks. You can print this, I don't give a f*ck. My fastball went from 79 to like 85." (Diamond Images/Getty Images)

3. Given how many other drugs Sheen has ingested, it would not surprise me at all if he had
taken roids.

4. Yes, but...
My 2 cents:

In spite of all of the other installments of _The-Train-Wreck-That-Is-Charlie-Sheen-These-Days, I thought that the Sports Illustrated interview was pretty cool. Sheen is a baseball fan, and having a lot of the interview on those terms took a lot of the vitriol and craziness out of him. I found it unexpectedly fun to read.

<shrugging>

5. Certainly an odd way to prepare for a role
I know this is not the best analogy but it would be like murdering someone to prepare for a role where you murder someone.

6. maybe true but sheen is a fine ball player
As opposed to many star who are not good athletes Sheen was a (according to scouts) a good AA player. He was a star in high school both at pitcher and shortstop. When my son and I first watched it we noticed his form was perfect and then we did the research.
