Pats cut Haynesworth...(good...my 2 cents)
The Albert Haynesworth experiment in New England clearly wasn’t working. Bill Belichick decided to cut his losses Tuesday before Haynesworth became any more expensive.

When Haynesworth joined the Patriots, he took a pay cut in base salary from $5.4 million to $1.5 million. He had the chance to make that money back in playing time incentives.

He won’t make any of the money back now.

Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports reported in August that Haynesworth would have received a $1 million bonus if he played in 20% of the team’s snaps for the year. Almost $3 million more was available if he reached playing time incentives beyond that.

2. Sometimes these reclamations projects work, sometimes they don't.
I guess Bill had seen enough to know this was a 'don't'. Too bad, if he had played to his potential he couldn't have helped the Pats sorry defense.

5. Bedard tells it like it is.
Why was Albert Haynesworth released today by the Patriots?

He disrespected the uniform and his teammates in the loss to the Giants.

That’s the bottom line.

There are a lot of things that can be tolerated on a football field, even getting regularly beat because of a talent disadvantage.

But not failing to give a full effort. And that’s what Haynesworth did against the Giants.

3 tackles on the season. Meh, give the roster spot to someone who wants it.

6. Bucs get him....
Albert Haynesworth wasn't unemployed for long.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have claimed the defensive lineman, who was released by the New England Patriots on Tuesday.

General manager Mark Dominik confirmed the move Wednesday, saying the Bucs more than likely would not have been interested in the 350-pound Haynesworth if the team had not lost Gerald McCoy for the season this week because of a torn right biceps.

On Tuesday, Tampa Bay also signed defensive tackle John McCargo, but a source told ESPN senior NFL analyst Chris Mortensen that McCargo was released Wednesday to make room for Haynesworth.
