How badly is Oklahoma State going to get screwed?
Or, for that matter, Stanford and Boise State? If I had a vote for either poll I'd leave Alabama completely off...out of all the pathetic "title" games the BCS has produced, this year promises to be the worst.

BTW, even if you're an SEC fan, it's clear a rematch will only hurt LSU, like FL-Florida State a while back.

1. Before last night's game, I would have said an LSU-Bama rematch...
...but after a resounding victory over a solid OU squad I have to say Okie State-LSU should be the true NC game. Without a playoff, of course.

2. Boise shouldn't even be in the top 10
The biggest joke of a schedule I've ever seen.

7. Boise State is a tremendous team with an astonomical power rating
I can't believe we've sunk to a brainwashed BCS level where we think we can't evaluate a team or individual other than the level of its competition. I don't know one successful Las Vegas handicapper who uses strength of schedule in his computer model, and I've looked at countless examples. It's certainly not in my Excel spreadsheets.

Strength of schedule is an invention of idiots and an obsession of idiots. No offense but that's the line I use on other sites, and it fits. I'm unnerved the phrase even exists. It's misapplied every bit as often as it's correct, like 2008 when everyone raved about the Big 12 and ridiculed the Pac 10. Meanwhile, the Pac 10 swept the bowls and the defenseless Big 12 was abused. Oklahoma with its annually horrendous pass defense had no business being in that title game above USC and its 4.6 pass defense, one that led the nation by 6/10 of a yard.

The most vital stats are ignored and not even recognized or understood, yet we think we can neatly slot teams based on schedule. I'm irate every time the topic comes up.

3. Aw, just give the trophy to LSU.
They're #1 and undefeated. No one will be happy with the choice of an opponent.

The BCS sucks.

4. I guess the problem is, if you're going to lose a game,
lose to the #1 team by a FG in OT instead of an UNRANKED team that didn't finish the season bowl eligible. Say what you want about who you'd LIKE to see in the title game, but Alabama is a better team than Oklahoma St. Oklahoma St. has no one to blame but themselves.

Whether it's Alabama or Oklahoma State, I don't think the title game is going to be that good in either case.

5. As badly as Maryland's 1974 hoops team got screwed
At worst, they were the third best team in the country.

They didn't get a tourney bid because at the time only conference champions got in and they lost in triple-overtime to NC State.

If you have a play-off schools will just complain about not getting a bid, unless you expand the field to 32 or 64.

The football championship would wrap-up right around the time March Madness begins.

6. They shouldn't have lost to 6-6 Iowa State if they wanted to contend for the title.
Anyway, they'd get a mud hole stomped in them by LSU if they went to the BCSNCG.

8. I'm happy with a rematch
If you have two teams with one loss, you have to look at the loss. Alabama lost to the #1 team in the country. OSU lost to Iowa State. It is that simple.

9. Indeed. There should, at the very least, be a four team tournament.
LSU, Stanford, Alabama and Oklahoma State.

There's just no way to truly justify picking one of the three one loss teams over the others for a single title game.

11. What about Boise State????
Their one loss was by one stinking point to TCU.

I'm against any playoff system almost as much as I'm against the BCS. Just go back to the traditional bowls and let the AP decide.

You won't agree with me on this one I bet.

14. It's difficult to consider them being in the same division really.
Until they take on more tough games throughout the year, they're not going to get the respect they want. And there's a very good reason for that.

I hope that's not the case. We're hoping Alamo. Earlier in the week, it looked like the Cotton Bowl.
Way to totally fuck your team and your fans, Landry Jones. I'm going to fucking freak if that's the case. This was my only chase to go to a bowl game. There's ZERO chance for me to go to Arizona.
Fuck.

I had to turn it off. I hate Les Miles.

How else do you explain Iowa playing Oklahoma? And a 9-3 Penn State team resigned to the Meineke Bowl? It's about filling seats. And until we get a playoff this shit is going to continue.

If OSU had the tradition and history The University of Alabama has, they might have gotten in. But losing to a bad team previously coached by Aubarn's coach sealed their fate.
