You're not a true Pats fan until...
"You're not a true Pats fan until you've gone through the whole 'All right, maybe Belichick put this team on cruise control since Week 5 ... now we're getting healthy, and we have Brady, so let's say we beat the Jags in Round 1, then San Diego upsets Denver, which means we play at Cincy in Round 2, so if we beat them, and the Chargers can shock Indy, we'd host San Diego at home for the AFC title game and play the winner of Seattle-Chicago in the Super Bowl' thought process. And gotten wildly excited about the whole thing."

1. That's quite funny, but also unrealistic, considering the way
we've been playing this season. :(

2. Well, what is the likely scenario for New England?
I hadn't even thought about it.

They will most likely be #4 hosting #5. So that's the wild card group including Pittsburgh, Kansas City, Jacksonville, San Diego. A win would put New England at Indy if the #3 seed wins at home, or at Denver/Cincinnati (whoever gets the bye) if the #6 seed upsets the #3 seed on the road.

All of that assumes Indy winning its division and with the top seed, with Denver and Cincinnati winning their divisions and one of them emerging with the second bye.

7. The Pats can take Indy. I know they can.
I'd love to see them meet up in the playoffs, and have the Pats spoil everything and keep their clutches on the Super Bowl a week longer...

3. That is sort of funny...
...considering that the AFC east is a complete joke. It's a lot like the NFL version of the NL west, in that they will put out their "cream of the crap" team, and make the obligatory early exit.

What sucks is that the patsies will probably win that garbage division with a 9-7 record, and end up hosting a 12-4 team in the first round.

6. A lot has changed since the original post.
San Diego,Kansas City, Jacksonville lose Pitt wins makes the wild card picture a little different now doesn't it?
