Duke will remain #1 in Monday's poll....BECAUSE....
Florida just lost. If UCONN wins, Florida and UCONN will switch spots...can't see them dropping Duke to Florida, or to UCONN who suffered a horrible defeat a few weeks ago...too bad...coulda knocked Duke down a notch.

We'll find out soon enough.

3. UCONN looked pretty good last night...that's in their favor...
...and it will be close, but I think Duke will hang on. We'll see!

2. What an awesome day!
The only two teams I royally despise are Duke and Florida so at least we dispatched both on the same day and any nonsense about going unbeaten.

Duke will remain number one, and deservedly so. Losing a road non-conference game in the middle of the conference slate is understandable. In fact, it's a notorious flat spot especially on a Saturday. Many of my friends make a list of road non-conference games during conference season as soon as the schedule is available, and look to those games for betting opportunity. In the long run it's a positive expectation. In particular, the defense seems to have less intensity in those games so not a shock Duke surrendered 87 today.

4. The votes for #1 will be split, but I still think Duke will remain on
top, mainly because there's way too much Duke-lovin by the voters. All I care about is they won't go undefeated...and I really don't think they'll win it all this year!

6. it should be UConn
and I think it will be. Duke looked awful yesterday, and Georgetown just wrote the book on how to beat them. they are probably still the best collection of talent in the country and will end the season number 1, but you don't lose, while playing so pathetically, and get to keep the ranking. And yes, Duke was pathetic, they should have won that game by 30, Georgetown isn't even in the same class as them, and they got outplayed in every aspect of the game. The voters will punish them for that.

And UConn is a worthy number one right now, they are playing very well.

7. If UCONN climbs to #1, I don't think it'll be for long...
...I think they have the talent to go all the way this year, but even when they were spectacular two seasons ago, they had a few losses. Sometimes they just don't show up for games.

5. Unlike College Football, Being #1 Is Not That Big of A Deal
Who cares what you're ranked during the season as long as you get into the tournament and anything can happen in the tournament.

8. I think UConn will take over the #1 spot
face it-the best team in the ACC was beat by a 2nd tier Big East team

9. I was wrong...they made UCONN #1
The Huskies got 61 first place votes, Duke had 7, and I believe Villanova had one. Duke was second, Texas, Memphis, Florida.

11. I thought they would put UConn
number one.
Oh well. Who cares. I hate Uconn.

My orangemen are not doing so well. They cut into the lead a bit against Pitt but I don't think they are going to win
