NCAA football AP top 10 final rankings
My guess:

1. Ohio State
2. LSU
3. Georgia
4. USC
5. West Virginia
6. Kansas
7. Missouri
8. Oklahoma
9. Va Tech
10. Boston

What's your guess?

1. LSU first after they beat OSU
I'd also move KS up a couple of notches.

2. Your point about the playoff game will be decided soon enough.
I didn't put Kansas any higher because:

  • OSU as loser of last year's playoff game ended up #2.

  • Georgia and USC are currently ranked higher than Kansas and they both won their BCS bowl games.

  • Current #11 WVU convincingly beat #3 Oklahoma in their BCS bowl game.

  • #8 Kansas is currently ranked higher than WVU but they only held on by 3 to beat VA Tech who is ranked lower than Oklahoma at #5

  • I'm a WVU fan.

I didn't like putting the loser of the playoff game at #2 but that's what I was thinking. Thanks for weighing in. I've not seen any projections of what the final rankings might look like so I'm hoping we hear more on the subject from DU's distinguished faculty of sports experts.

    3. If Ohio State wins the BCS,
LSU will fall much farther than #2.

    5. No doubt - that's a given.
But maybe not as far, because they would only have 2 losses.

    7. missouri ahead of oklahoma
after getting trounced by them in big 12 title game? regardless of how their respective bowls turned out thats odd.
Boston I presume is Boston College, how do they make the top ten when they barely survived a proven middle of the road Michigan st? That bowl game was tight.

sorry, the polls were screwed up to begin with this year so it's beeen a fractured picture from day one.

    8. Your link is limp.
By the time I got to #10 I ended up looking for the highest ranking team not yet included that had won their bowl game so that's how I ended up with Boston. As for Mizzou/Sooners you have a good point.

    Thanks for weighing in.
