Sheriff wants Shaq's badges back after Kobe rap
I think Kobe might have to get a retraining order at some point. Shaq is so obsessed with him. It's very disturbing.

"Kobe, tell me how my ass tastes.." :wtf:

PHOENIX -- Shaquille O'Neal will lose his special deputy's badge in Maricopa County because of language he used in a rap video that mocks former teammate Kobe Bryant.

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio said the Phoenix Suns center's use of a racially derogatory word and other foul language left him no choice. Arpaio made Shaq a special deputy in 2006 and promoted him to colonel of his largely ceremonial posse later that year.

"I want his two badges back," Arpaio told The Associated Press on Tuesday. "Because if any one of my deputies did something like this, they're fired. I don't condone this type of racial conduct."

Shaq was seen in a video posted on the celebrity news and gossip Web site TMZ.com rapping that "Kobe couldn't do without me." O'Neal skewers the Lakers' star, with whom he won three straight NBA titles from 2000-2002 while with Los Angeles, for not being able to win a championship without him.

1. No Need To Take Badge Back
There is no need for this sheriff to take Shaq's badge away because of the rap. The rap was terrible ( in terms of rapping ability) and stupid, but that is not a reason to take his badge away. As far as I know sheriffs and police officers get away with far worse than creating a bad rap.

2. Actually, my brother is a trooper with the Calif. Highway Patrol.
He's very progressive and I know he's caring and respectful toward the people he encounters.

I know he's not some hard ass, Rodney King-like beating dick.

He loves helping people and he's very outspoken about aggressive police tactics, including the use of the taser.

So, I don't think it's cool for you to imply, in such a broad-brush manner, that "sheriffs and police officers get away with far worse than creating bad rap." -- as though law enforcement is loaded with nothing but goons.

The Sheriff (a man I don't particularly like), has every right to ask for the badge back, since O'Neal represents his department .. if only in a symbolic manner.

3. Truth
Whether you like it or not there are a number of sheriffs and police officers who get away with much worse. I never intended to sound as if I think all sheriffs and police officers get away with bad behavior. However, it is the truth that some sheriffs and police officers get away with a host of things that are far worse than creating a bad rap.

4. Shaq is an asshole...
...he's always gotten away with being a rude dick...I remember him calling the Kings a bunch of girls (or something like that) in 2002, after the series. Everyone thinks he's so funny...anyone else would have had to apologize. Nice to know people are finally getting sick of him.

And yes, he cannot rap...he did it after the 2001 series and it was atrocious.
