The Dodgers, so he can gloat that the Red Sox were fools to get rid of their cancer, or his beloved Giants, even though that criminally insane player is no longer cheating with them. Such a choice!

1. No Manny..no World Series
that terrible "cancer" helped break the curse and win 2 WS..do you really think you would have done it without him?

Red Sox fans are ungrateful...strangely so...It's one thing to suggest Manny's time in Boston was up, quite another to express such dislike for a player who has done so much. Maybe it's the weather in NE.

BTW, nice start the Red Sox have gotten off to...looks to me like you're heading for a third place finish.

Couldn't happen to a more deserving group of fans.

6. Hmm.
Beloved by a few people in the Bay Area, and mobsters world-wide.

Convicted FELON.

10. A few people in the Bay Area?....He is a beloved legend,
and that's puting it mild.

That charge for whatever it was is ridiculous.

I completely reject it and consider Eddie with a perfect record .. you know, much like his football teams in the Super Bowl (5-0).

Dallas has an erratic record of losing in Super Bowls and playoff games.

14. You are a freakin classic!

"you" completely reject it?

Once the mob influence was taken away from the York Family's team, they reverted to the below average team they always were.

19. Yup. I don't consider what Eddie is accused of a crime.
Gambling or whatever it is.

Big deal.

21. In addition to "accused," he was also "CONVICTED".
I'm sorry that you don't respect the laws of this country. As a REAL SPORTS FAN, I am surprised that you would give people who are cheaters a free ride. That really is SHAMEFUL, and you disappoint me.

23. Eddie was forced into a plea bargian
by those that circumvented the laws that you claim to have respect for....

Considering the circumstances, IMO, Eddie is and always will be a victim.

"Eddie" a victim.

22. Eddie was undoubtedly railroaded
those who couldn't beat the master on the field, resorted to underhanded tactics...and in doing so, robbed Eddie of his great treasure, the 49ers, and the Bay Area of more Championships.

26. Your bitterness is obvious
and somewhat understandable, for without Eddie, "The Catch" would have never taken place nor would the 49ers have humiliated the Cowboys in the '94 Championship game.

The 49ers are not just the team of the eighties, they are the team of the century..5-0 in Super Bowls, owners of the winningest decade in history, a record 18 consecutive road wins, winning 10 games or more for 17 years in a row, Hall of Famers up and down the lineup during Eddie's reign.

All of these things took place because of Eddie DeBartolo, a legend in his own time.

27. Heh!
"for without Eddie, "The Catch" would have never taken place nor would the 49ers have humiliated the Cowboys in the '94 Championship game."

As I have said, it was all mob money that paid for your five SB championships. It is really sad that a real sports fan could continue to support a team that was own by a man who is a convicted felon. At the least you should renounce the ill-gotten SB wins paid for by a convicted felon, and move on and embrace the York Family.

8. As a lifelong Giants fan, the universe just isn't in order when the Dodgers win
However, it would be worth it to see the Dodgers win the World Series if there is a camera trained on Steinbrenner's sour puss as they give Torre a champagne shower in the winners' locker room. I'd really like to see that.

9. Exactly. You just proved my point and admitted how I claim
Barry was treated on the road.

Like an ax murderer.

You do get points for your honesty, but more importantly, I finally have someone on record saying what I've contended all along.

Ax murderer on the field
Barry Bonds on the field

Barry would arguably get more boos. :eyes:
