1. Carolina will give them a series.
No cakewalk like the last one.

7. Don't be so sure of that.
The B's can play any style you want. Up and down or gritty and full of fights. Earlier in the year a bunch of players came right out and said they preferred the physical play and the fights, and if you saw the game where Dallas tried to act like thugs and instead got their asses kicked all over the ice by Boston you'd believe me. Even Savard dropped the gloves in that game. :)

Having said that, the B's are highly disciplined, and won't be goaded into taking dumb penalties (ask Montreal). So they will turn the other cheek when needed. But if it's a clean physical game the canes choose to play the B's can do that.

This is a really good matchup, and should make for a fantastic series. If the Canes win it I'll be rooting for them the rest of the way, especially since they just knocked out my second favorite team...ya bastids!

:)

9. It should be relatively clean. We're one of the least penalized teams.
We get a reunion of sorts with Aaron Ward. That will be strange.

11. That could help the B's.
I'm not positive of the exact position, but the B's were very close to the top of the league in 5 on 5 scoring (which is why the Habs tried so hard to get them to take penalties). But Ward could negate that if he plays like he did in this series. He made some key saves in the third tonight to keep that a one goal game.

I'm just glad the B's are finally playing SOMEONE...this week with no B's action has been rough. :)

2. Should be an awesome series.

The B's did very well against them in the regular season, but that's the regular season. :)

Congrats on the win over NJ, even though it stings a bit. ;)

8. The building sure got quiet fast, didn't it?
I'm not sure I've ever seen an ending like that in a 7th game before. What a turnaround.

5. Bruins could sweep again.

The Caps/Pens series might go seven games.

6. Bruins won all 4 regular season game
We know the playoffs are different and Cam Ward looks good...but the Bruins have to be favored.

12. They will be, but being favored this time of year doesn't mean much.
The Canes play a solid defensive game, have great goaltending, and enough offense to still be dangerous (hello Staal!).

I see a lot of one goal games in this series, and probably low scoring as well. Fans of offense may want to tune into the Pens-Caps series instead. :)

16. I think the Bruins are too big for Carolina to handle
Canes are good but I don't see them beating Boston. Especially after a long seven game series against New Jersey.

Caps might have the same problem with Pittsburgh.
