1. They'll be a slight underdog, but this time of year no one is a definite favorite.
I'm leaning to the Pens because they have the better goalie, and it could easily be a run and gun series with the two offenses on those teams. If it were football the series would be a "pick 'em".
2. You're not trying to weasel out already are you?
What happened to "Ovechkin is a choking looooser" and "Crosby is better than Gretzky"? No faith in your team? Sounds to me like you are making excuses already and not a minute has been played.
I'll be pulling for my Caps to close up the series fast, but both teams just have too much skill. I have a feeling the scoring in some of the games might look like the damn All-Star game.
I still don't think anyone's beating Boston in the East though.
main reason is playoff experience and goaltending.
Both teams have very good offensive power. Both teams transition well. That's a wash. It comes down to a battle between Fleury and Washington's goalie (not Theodore). Fleury's been there the last couple of years and has played better each year. This is this kid's first go round.
That's the biggest difference and why I think the Pens in 6.
Washington is going in basically with a rookie goalie (see Carey Price) who could get rattled alot quicker than Fleury (compare Fleury from 2yrs ago vs. last year.)
