Streaking Giants, Cain sweep away A's
 The wild card leading Giants got a CG game 1 run 4 hit performance from Matt Cain as he earned his NL leading 9th win.

First sweep of the Bay Bridge series by the Giants since 2001 as their pitchers allowed only 3 total runs and threw 2 CGs.

2. Best get used to it
the Giants are a contender. Not only are they currently leading the wild card, but of the top 4 pitchers in the NL in ERA, 2 of them are Giants (Cain 2.39 and Lincecum 2.66)...with starting pitching like that, the Giants are going to be around all year. You better hope the Dodgers don't slip up.

3. The A's had won 8 out of 10 coming into that series
behind excellent starting pitching. For the Giants to sweep them so convincingly is impressive.

6. not impressive at all
when you consider the A's got hot against the White Sox and the Orioles, two of the worst teams around.

4. I don't blame you for being nervous. I wouldn't want to face the Giants
in a short series either.

LINCECUM, CAIN, ZITO

Lights out.

And Pablo Sandoval is a better hitter an Banny Ramirez!
