And i just wanted to share, that lisa got me a brand new engagement ring!

The ring I had initially was just a place holder, I asked her to marry me and we just got a ring for me, so that i would have one. After which it took me a long tome to decide what type of ring i would want to wear for the rest of my like (non-diamond but recognizable as an engagement ring, no child killed for my sparklies, silver or gold etc )

So yesterday i got a beautiful Moissanite ring!

35. Husband and I had a "whirlwind' 40-month engagement. LOL.

We knew we wanted to take the next step in commitment, but took our time actually wedding. When we finally decided to do it, we got married legally here in the states in Feb and had our "emotional" marriage in May in Italy in the city where we lived when he was doing his dissertation research (and where we'd gotten engaged!).

I know it's not QUITE the same reasons that you would have to have 2 weddings, but I HIGHLY recommend having your "emotional" ceremony in a place that means a lot to you.
