Volunteer peace monitor trainings for San Diego 'Day of Decision.'
Calling all San Diego Volunteers fighting for Same Sex Marriage Equality!!!

The California 'Day of Decision' on Same Sex Marriage Equality is almost upon us.
Any day within the next 4 weeks until June 3rd. the decision will be handed down.
We expect as many people to come out as when prop 8 passed in November and we must be ready to either Celebrate or take to the streets and Demonstrate.

On the Day of Decision we will gather together starting at 5:00PM on the corner of 6th and Laurel in Balboa Park and will kick off the March at 6:00PM.
IF WE WIN - We'll have a March to Hillcrest and have a HUGE CELEBRATION block party.
IF WE LOSE - We'll take to the streets and March downtown to the Hall of Justice in protest of the loss of our Civil Rights. For updated information - www.dayofdecision.com

We need volunteers to sign up A.S.A.P. to help with: set up/tear down of the March and Rally sites, pass out flyers, canvas and gather signatures, fundraise, lead chants and songs, make posters and signs etc.

In addition, we need specially trained Peace Monitor Volunteers in the practices of the Quakers, Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr. These Peace Monitor volunteers will help to create our Nonviolent, Peaceful, Positive Protests, and Demonstrations for the 'Day of Decision' Actions and Beyond….

Peace Monitor and CD Trainings will be happening on the following dates:

WEDNESDAY, MAY 6TH from 6:00PM - 9:00PM
UUChurch (First Unitarian Universal Church) - www.firstuusandiego.org
4190 Front St, San Diego, CA 92103, in Hillcrest. (619) 298-9978

WEDNESDAY, MAY 13TH from 6:00PM - 9:00PM
UUChurch (First Unitarian Universal Church) - www.firstuusandiego.org
4190 Front St, San Diego, CA 92103, in Hillcrest. (619) 298-9978

Please attend at least one training if you volunteer as a Peace Monitor, arrive on time as we have a lot to cover, wear comfortable clothing you can move in, bring water, and a snack if you need. We encourage all volunteers to attend the Peace Monitor training as a learning experience, even if you don't feel you are able to volunteer as a Peace Monitor. Please sign up to volunteer on the 'Day of Decision'/San Diego page website: www.dayofdecision.com
