First Canadian Military Base Gay Wedding

A gay couple has been married at Canadian Forces Base Greenwood in what is believed to be the first gay wedding on any military base in North America.

The wedding was held last month but details first emerged Tuesday.

Lt.-Cmdr. David Greenwood, the base's head chaplain, declined to identify the couple saying he did not have permission from the men to release their names. But,he told the CBC that one was a sergeant and the other a warrant officer.

Someone sure does. They keep getting my posts deleted. It's puzzling how they could think that: I believe I have always been very forthright and "out" about being gay here in my postings at DU. Frequently I like to laugh about it, and occasionally I get on a soapbox about it, as when I got banned for complaining about Kerry's two faced position on gay marriage during the 04 primaries.

And yet I just fielded a message from the DU moderators about my apparently raving case of "homophobia"!

The irony is, well...for once I have enough to share with the whole class.
