FtM,and I orient as gay.I hear the assholes in cars calling us faggots,or some other homophobic slur as my boyfriend and I walk around together in our neighborhood..Transphobia & homophobia I have had enough of it..Trans-women I know get rocks thrown at them.It is what happens to us,in an authoritarian culture with rigid binary gender divisions. Binary Gender divisions also so function as social'status' markers..(top&bottom) and as an unspoken division of labor and value devaluation of people. This culture is too tolerant of abuse of trans-people,it should be seen as evil and wrong.

9. your story and suffering makes me irate. I have defended people before who are harassed for

whatever differences (varied, from homeless, to GLBT, gender, race), and I worry one of these times I'm gonna get my ass beat for defending people, but so far so good. I don't understand the hate. :(

I am Christian, and orient as Gay, but before I realized I was Gay, I was a child who always stood up for others and I'm not so sure it's fully just how you're raised, but the heart of each person decides whether to be mean-spirited or to be a lover...
