Three of four service chiefs oppose prompt DADT repeal
unhappycamper note: Since the ‘Pentagon’ (DoD? Gannett?) has ‘requested’ that I only post one paragraph from articles on Army Times, and Airforce Times, To keep in that same (new) tradition, I will also do the same for for articles on Navy Times, Marine Corps Times, stripes.com and military.com.

WASHINGTON — The chiefs of the Army, Marine Corps and Air Force do not support a repeal of the military’s “don’t ask, don’t tell” law, telling lawmakers Friday that such a move could add unnecessary stress to the force.

2. Hmmm. I wonder what Harry Truman would have done to these people?
My guess is that they would all have been retired by nightfall.

3. clearly the military is not run by the civilian authority anymore
