"Yup, MLB has picked a side: the winning side, and that was smart of them. MLB just decided that no one in its organization can be fired just because of their sexual orientation. If that is hurtful to the Peter Sprigg's of the world, I have just one message for them: it gets worse. A growing majority of people is making a well-reasoned judgment that folks like Peter Sprigg are bigots; when he insists that they have a right to destroy the careers of LGBT folks because they are "by nature" (not by evidence) icky and wrong, he only vindicates that judgment. As that continues, slandering LGBT folks will not be considered acceptable in any corner of polite society, LGBT teens will stop committing suicide at alarming rates, the best (rather than the straightest) person for the job will be more likely to fill it, and the millions of children being raised by same-sex couples will finally be given the same legal protections as those being raised by opposite sex couples. If the price we have to pay for that is consigning NOM, FRC, and FOF to take their rightful place alongside the KKK on the ash-heap of history, so be it."

Peter Sprigg of the Christian conservative Family Research Council (FRC) alleges that Major League Baseball (MLB) is calling gay rights foes bigots.
In condemning the MLB's recent announcement that it would ban discrimination based on sexual orientation in its new Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), Sprigg said the league has sided with gay rights activists.
“In the larger picture, the homosexual activists are trying to have their ideology become dominant not only in the most liberal segments of society, like academia, but in the most conservative institutions, such as the military, the church, and now in sports,” Sprigg told CitizenLink, the political arm of the FRC. “Liberals attack conservatives for the idea of legislating morality, but this is exactly what's happening when one of these codes is adopted. It's saying that anyone who disapproves of homosexual conduct, for whatever reason, is a bigot and we are taking a moral stance against that.”
“This is not a neutral act. It's taking sides in the culture war,” he added.
