5. shoulder-to-shoulder and K&R

There's a change coming, I can feel it in the air. The bigots and those who would use them for political gain are loud now, but their loudness has a sense of desperation to it. They will go the way of the dinosaurs and they know it, though they try mightily to deny it.

I'm old enough to have seen a lot of change in the way other minority groups are perceived and treated. I remember how it happened and I feel it happening again. Waaaaaay too slowly for my tastes, but it's happening.

In honor of those who didn't live to see it and in support of those who will, I stand with you to say we are proud of our GLBT friends and family and will settle for nothing less than full and complete rights and liberties for them. We will NOT allow the haters to have this one last bastion of bigotry.
