Judge: OK To Ban Gays From Frat
http://www.365gay.com/newscon05/03/030405fraternity.htm

A judge has ruled that the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill must recognize a Christian fraternity that refuses to admit gays.

Alpha Iota Omega's status as an official campus group was revoked after it refused to sign the university's nondiscrimination policy.
The policy specifies that groups cannot deny membership to students based on personal characteristics such as age, race, color, national origin, religion, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation and gender.

now what would happen if a gay student group tried to ban fundies from their group--all hell would break loose

2. Christian Gays should join with other christians to start a TRUE christian
group at that school. A group where all of God's children are welcomed and respected since God does not discriminate.

Jesus didn't kick homosexuals out of any of his meetings or sermons. Nor did he EVER speak against homosexuality or homosexual acts. He welcomed ALL.

these right wing fools today have NO BUSINESS using Christ's name to justify their bigotry. they are not christians.

3. Using Christianity As A Shield For BIGOTRY Is Nothing New.
What causes those Christians to be so bigoted and hateful?

5. Very misleading article

I live in North Carolina and have followed this via the newspapers here. This is a temporary injunction not a permanent one.

A federal judge has ordered UNC-CH not to enforce its non-discrimination policy on Alpha Iota Omega as a condition of the fraternity's status as an official campus group -- at least for the time being. The preliminary injunction was issued Wednesday by U.S. District Court Judge Frank W. Bullock Jr. in Greensboro.

At issue is whether the university can deny Alpha Iota Omega's status as an official campus group because the Christian fraternity won't accept nonbelievers or gay students. The university had revoked its recognition of the group after fraternity members refused to sign UNC-CH's non-discrimination policy.

end of quote

Admittedly the judge appears to think the University will lose this case but that isn't what happen in this ruling.
